Hi everybody!

This is what happened in our lesson today:

- Monica's and Cristina's presentation
- Relative clause exercises correction
- The Butler review
- Writing: I gave back your writings, we discussed some common mistakes and created a list of things we should revise before handing in a writing (list of things that (may) kill my teacher (a little bit)
- For and Against essays exercise: In groups we discussed the following topic: "Mobile phones in the classroom".

HOMEWORK

- Write a conclusion for the topic discussed in class.

The Butler, 22nd January

As you know, the Escuela is hosting a cinema day at Cines Odeón en Puerto del Rosario. There will be three sessions, 9:00, 16:30 and 19:00. ALL STUDENTS are invited to come. Below is the trailer of the movie, watch it and come and join us in this movie day!

Como saben, la Escuela ha organizado unas sesiones de cine en versión original, con subtítulos en español, en los Cines Odeón en Puerto del Rosario, Habrá tres sesiones, 9:00, 16:30 y 19:00. TODOS LOS ESTUDIANTES están invitados a asistir. Debajo tienen el trailer de la película, veánlo y ¡anímense a venir al cine a verla en pantalla grande!

Por ello, NO HABRÁ CLASES EN EL AULA DE IDIOMAS DE JANDÍA EL DÍA 22 DE ENERO, para que los alumnos puedan asistir a estas sesiones.

EXAM DATES Intermedio 2

These are the exam dates for INTERMEDIO 2.

30th January: Reading exam (50 min) and Listening exam 50 min

4th February: Writing exam (50 min) and speaking exams

6th February: Speaking exams

This exam will be done in pairs. Remember you have to write down your name and your partners name for the speaking exam.

These are the dates for Básico 1 exams:

- 29th January: Reading exam (50 min) and Listening exam (50 min)

- 3rd February: Writing exam (50 min) and speaking exams

- 5th February: Speaking exams

Hi guys!

First of all, I apologize for the delay, I had the entry written but forgot to click on publish.

This is what happened last Thursday

- Exercises Correction: page 81, 7, 8 and page 83, 7,8
- Then, mainly we had a class focused on Writing skills:
   * I handed in your writings and explained the corrections, as well as some of the notes/symbols I use to mark them
  * We discussed common mistakes and concerns
  * We worked on a handout about for and against essays

HOMEWORK

- Think about what you should focus when revising your writings before handing them in
- Writing: For and against essay on the following topic: "Recycling in the Canary Islands"
  DUE DATE: 21st JANUARY, next Tuesday. It's also the last day when you can hand in other writings you may be late to hand in.

Movie on 22nd January!

Hi everybody!!!

On Wednesday 22nd, we'll have our next movie day. The movie will be "The Butler". This time there will be three different sessions:

9: 00, 16: 30 and 19:00.

Remember this is a great opportunity to get in contact with real language and best of all, tickets are ONLY 2 €! 



El próximo miércoles 22 de ENERO a las 9:00 de la mañana, a las 16:30 h y a las 19:00 h  se proyectará la película "El Mayordomo de la Casa Blanca (The Butler)", en Versión Original en inglés con subtítulos en español. 

Recuerden incluso si piensan que no tienen el nivel suficiente, es una estupenda oportunidad para entrar en contacto con las versiones originales. Precio 2€
